Wholesale Map Reading Protractor
A pocket-sized set of 3 UTM squares for 1:24,000, 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 scale maps. Angles of 1:24,000 and 1:25,000 allow you to divide a 1 km map grid to 10 meter accuracy. An angle of 1:50,000 allows you to divide a 1km map grid to 20m precision. The tool has a hole in the corner of each scale bar to place markers on the map. There is also a hole in the center to allow a string to extend the compass. There is a lanyard hole in the upper left corner.
The tool has a ring of white ink around the edge. This makes reading compass and grid numbers easier, and also prevents tools from "disappearing" when you place them on the map.
