What are Carbonated Drinks?

Carbonated beverages are beverages that contain dissolved carbon dioxide. CO2 dissolves in a liquid and produces a hissing or effervescence. The process usually involves carbon dioxide at high pressure. When the pressure is removed, carbon dioxide is released from the solution in the form of small bubbles, which causes the solution to bubble, or froth. A common example is carbon dioxide dissolved in water, producing carbonated water. Carbon dioxide is only slightly soluble in water, so it dissociates into a gas when the pressure is released.

Fizzy drinks are made by mixing flavored syrup with carbonated water, both of which have been cooled. Carbonation levels range up to 5 volumes of CO2 per liquid volume. Ginger ale, cola and related beverages contain 3.5 volumes of carbonated beverages. other beverages, usually fruit-flavored, that are less carbonated

4 Health Benefits of Soda

1) Soda keeps you hydrated
Many people think that drinking carbonated or soda can make you dehydrated, but health experts say that's just a myth. Drinking soda has the same thirst-quenching benefits as plain water, with the added health advantage if the soda is filtered. Filtered water removes organic compounds, pollutants, and harmful chemicals, so you can be sure the water you drink is clean and healthy.

2) Drinking carbonated water may aid digestion
If you suffer from frequent indigestion, indigestion, or just the occasional stomach upset, drinking a tall glass of filtered soda can help ease your stomach upset. According to a study published in the European Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, patients with gallstone formation, indigestion or constipation tendencies showed that their gallbladder problems, overall digestion and constipation problems were significantly improved by drinking soda for two weeks will improve afterwards.

3) Soda makes you feel full
Those tiny carbonated bubbles in a glass of soda may play a powerful role in managing your weight and even shedding some excess pounds. The carbon dioxide in the soda can fill your stomach with fizzy bubbles and make your brain feel full, which means you're likely to eat less. In a 2012 study published in the Journal of Nutritional Science and Vitamin Science, participants who drank soda on an empty stomach said they felt fuller than when they drank still water. To avoid overeating at mealtimes, try drinking two 8-ounce glasses of filtered soda 30 minutes before eating.

4) Drinking soda can boost productivity
Scientists have long touted that even mild dehydration during the workday can have a major impact on employee productivity because our brains cannot function properly without replacing lost fluids. According to a 2014 study published in the Journal of Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism, researchers found that mild dehydration (5 percent of body weight) actually damages blood vessels in our brains; reducing cognitive performance—especially in Reaction time, attention, and aspects of our short-term memory.
